Hey all! A Happy New Year to you 🙂 Thank you for all of your support this past year. 2010 presented a lot of unique challenges to overcome, but I’m feeling very empowered these days. Thank you for nice comments after shows, for facebook love, for testimonial letters, and for everything else that makes me feel so grateful for this crazy career I’ve got going. I wish all of you the best for a happy, healthy, and fulfilling 2011.
I’m going to continue to push it this year, big time. In addition to corporate shows everywhere from Carlsbad to Kiawah Island and a boatload of college shows – Villanova, Delaware, Virginia Wesleyan, St. Vincent’s, etc. – LOTS of exciting things are happening. I picked one highlight a month for the first six months of 2011 to share here as a bit of a sneak peak!
January: 1/7-1/17 Disney Dream Previews. I am honored to be performing on Disney Cruise Line’s 3 preview cruises for their newest ship – The Disney Dream. It’s first-class all the way. Every detail is perfect, just like you’d expect from any Disney operation. Pictures and videos of The Dream coming in one of my next posts!
February: 2/21 MC for National Association of Campus Activities (NACA) Conference. Last Fall, I was selected as a NACA regional host. This year, I get to play on the national stage! I am happy to be represented by Redd Promo Talent in the college market, and I hope this showcase will continue to bring me more bookings on campuses nationwide.
March: 3/11 – Book Release Party. I am very excited to be a featured author in the book “Life Choices: Pursuing One’s Passion.” My chapter parallels my “Branding Your Passion” keynote. This is great step for me toward publishing my own book later this year. Thanks to speaker-author-coach-friend Judi Moreo for this wonderful opportunity.
April: 4/23 – Mohegan Sun. On Saturday night, April 23rd, I will be hosting “It’s Magic” at The Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. I’ve emceed these shows before in the LA area and they’re always fun– clean, family-friendly productions featuring some of the top magicians in the country.. and one goofy host who juggles.
May: 5/17 – Nathan Burton Show. On May 17th I will begin an extended summer run with Nathan Burton at The Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. I jump in and out of Nathan’s show currently as a guest performer when I’m in town. I’m looking forward to sleeping in my own bed for a while, enjoying more time in Vegas, and performing daily in the main showroom of such a legendary hotel.
June: Win-Win Entertainment. In November, I created a non-profit that matches performers willing to donate their time and talent with charity organizations in need of entertainment. Our paperwork has been submitted to the IRS, and we hope to achieve our official 501c3 status in June. Thank you to Secretary Aurora Wong and Treasurer Matt Milone for their invaluable help with this endeavor. More information on this coming very soon– I have big plans for Win-Win Entertainment, in Las Vegas and beyond.
Have a great 2011, everybody!!
