What is Care Kits for Kids?
Care Kits for Kids is a philanthropic team building activity created and hosted by Jeff Civillico. Attendees assemble care kits that get delivered to a local children’s hospital in your event city.
How does Care Kits for Kids work?
Attendees work together in teams to build and decorate as many Care Kits for Kids as they can within a certain amount of time. They assemble the boxes. They design the outside of the boxes, drawing colorful designs with markers and adding stickers. They pack the boxes with contents: coloring books, puzzles, magic tricks, teddy bears, etc. They write handwritten notes to the child who’s going to open that box.
This activity engages attendees’ hands, heads and hearts. These boxes burst with compassion and care!
How is Care Kits for Kids presented?
Jeff presents Care Kits for Kids in a way that is light and playful, yet respectful of the service work being done and why. This activity is a team building workshop combined with a philanthropic service event, creating maximum engagement and impact.
After explaining how the activity works, Jeff is out in the audience on the microphone, bantering with everyone and cheering on the different teams. There’s music on. People are up on their feet and moving around. They are laughing together and interacting with each other. There’s great energy in the room!
Can Care Kits for Kids Be Customized?
This activity is completely customizable to fit your group, your timeline, your venue! Clients can customize the contents of the boxes, how long the activity goes, how many boxes get built, etc. This can be a competition among tables, teams or divisions, or it can simply be “for fun.”
