Cisko Sound Scholarship
Jeff has created the “Cisko Sound Scholarship” in honor of his longtime Vegas audio engineer and friend Craig Palcisko as a way of honoring Craig’s spirit, humor, and humble nature. Established through the Public Education Foundation, this $1,000/year scholarship (renewable for 4 years) is for a college-bound senior currently majoring in theater tech or sound tech at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts where Jeff serves on the Advisory Board.
Craig was Jeff’s rock on the Technical Production side for many years, both in Las Vegas and at corporate events across the country. He was the utmost professional, but he also did not take himself too seriously! He had fun with his work, and because of that— everyone who worked with him always had a great time too 🙂

“I want to thank you endlessly for this award and opportunity. Moving out of state this upcoming fall for school is a concept that fills me with joy, but also concern over the unknown at this experience can bring. However, this scholarship eases some of my financial anxiety that me and my family have been faced with. I’m studying animation and technical theater in school and it’s something I’m extraordinarily excited about, so thank you so much in adding me to make that a reality! Nevada, not offering the programs I’m seeking, has put me at a crossroads in terms of where to attend: go with the more simple option that will not eat my career goals or passions, or take a risk. I think taking this risk is worth it as it is allowing me to create unique connections and experiences that I’ll be more happy with in the long Run. Once again, thank you so much.”
“Since receiving the Cisko Sound Scholarship, I have attended the Fashion Institute of Technology as a Fashion Business Management major. In my short time here, I’ve already worked as an intern and have been able to take advantage of the various opportunities the school has to offer.
I’m also continuing to work as a technician for the FIT Theatre Club and want to take some classes related to video production to further my knowledge. I’m appreciative of the possibilities that were made available to me as a result of being granted this scholarship.”

“Thank you endlessly Mr. Civillico for choosing to sponsor me and my education, it truly means the world to me. College unfortunately is not something that is financially easy to cover, especially in such a niche program such as my own.
I want nothing more than to work in sound, and Columbia College Chicago’s Acoustics program is the perfect fit for me. Being able to study what I am most passionate about, while also being in the heart of a city so dedicated to keeping the arts alive and appreciated… It’s a dream come true. This award will truly help me so much in my career in sound and I am immensely grateful. Thank you.”

I’m so happy I was able to do a proper tribute to Craig at my final residency show on The Las Vegas Strip after 10 years. He was so integral to my Vegas run. We announced the “Cisko Sound Scholarship” in front of a live audience of family, friends, performers, Caesars Entertainment colleagues, media and supporters… many of whom knew and loved Craig just as much as I did 🙂
He impacted so many people! We love you, Craig…
The Craigerator
Craig and I did a few thousand shows together at the Imperial Quad LINQ Palace 🙂 And a few hundred more at corporate events all over the country. So many laughs! So many good times! Thanks for the memories, Craig…
