Today was a very good day! I had the privilege of reading and juggling for the wonderfully polite and curious 3rd graders of Clyde C. Cox Elementary School as part of Nevada Reading Week. Warning: there may have been more juggling than reading 🙂 Either way, we all had a blast! I love connecting our Win-Win Entertainment performers with Spread the Word Nevada to make these visits happen.
Jeff, Words cannot begin to express the impact you made on the children at Clyde Cox. You truly brought sunshine to the campus through your love of reading and the pride in your profession. You certainly showed the kiddos that your work can be fun! I wanted to let you know that all together, 48 Win Win readers visited a minimum of 925 children in 37 classrooms. You each WOWED your schools: the teachers and the students! I wish you could have seen all the smiles and heard all the wonderful comments! Thank you for taking your precious time to touch the lives of these children; you’ve opened their eyes to countless possibilities. As ever, we appreciate your support of Spread the Word Nevada!
With warm regards,
Laurie Hartig, Special Projects Coordinator, Spread the Word Nevada
If you want to visit a classroom this week, just email our fabulous Executive Director Vivian Wright, and she’ll connect you with our friends at Spread the Word Nevada to help find the best fit for you, based on geography and your schedule. As Chairman of Win-Win Entertainment, my focus is on getting entertainers to come in and read… But by all means, ALL are welcome to visit classrooms for Nevada reading week! I have many friends outside of the entertainment industry who are reading this week – nurses, teachers, etc. Give it a shot – it doesn’t take long, and it’s extremely fulfilling.
After visiting Clyde Cox Elementary, I headed right over to the KTNV Channel 13 studios for my weekly Monday CyberLinq spot on Valley View Live. It was fun and slightly ridiculous, as usual! Check it out…
And of course, then it was time to crank out my show at The Linq Hotel & Casino! I always have a blast with my audience. I can’t believe I get to perform now 6 days a week starting next Tuesday, March 10th! We started off in 2012 at 4 days a week. We would not be moving from 5 to 6 days a week if things weren’t going very well. So THANK YOU! We’ve come a long way in just under 3 years, baby!!
And now I am trying to pack, but clearly distracted! I am red-eying to Washington, D.C. tonight to perform at a large corporate event tomorrow. Then right back to Vegas Wednesday for my Vegas show.
Hope your day was a productive one too. Time to go pack! But first… another mojito.
