Las Vegas show George Balanchine’s Jewels: George Balanchine’s Jewels will delight audiences of all ages.

Las Vegas show and performing arts center, The Smith Center, will host three talented companies for this masterpiece ballet. Las Vegas Show

Emeralds, rubies, and diamonds inspired George Balanchine to produce his ballet called Jewels. The Las Vegas show of it will feature three internationally recognized ballet companies that include the Nevada Ballet Theatre, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Ballet West. The Las Vegas show will be accompanied by a live orchestra. This Las Vegas show performance was specially permitted by The George Balanchine Trust. It is sponsored by the jewelers that inspired Balanchine’s work.  Balanchine originally created Jewels for the New York City Ballet and premiered in 1967. The award-winning ballet is a three part production and one of the industry’s first abstract production.

 

Jewels will be performed as a Las Vegas show on October 13 and 14 in Reynolds Hall. This Las Vegas show is currently available as a subscription to the 2012-2013 Nevada Ballet season.
