Las Vegas show Icons of Comedy: The Riviera Hotel and Casino has done an exemplary job of developing a Las Vegas show with a reputation as the preeminent stop for comedy on the Strip. The “Icons of Comedy Series” features nightly performances from both world-renowned headliners and the best and brightest new talent beginning to emerge onto the scene. Several notable additions to the current roster have ensured that the sophomore Las Vegas show will carry its incredible appeal well into the second year of its existence.
Film, TV and stage star Gilbert Gottfried, known for his time on “Saturday Night Live” as well as voicing the role of Iago in Disney’s “Aladdin,” has officially joined the Las Vegas show. Comedian Amy Schumer has also arrived, fresh off of a successful role in “30 Rock” and her infamous appearance at Comedy Central’s “Roast of Charlie Sheen.” Hal Sparks brings his own talents to the table, noted for his hilarious contributions to E!’s “Talk Soup,” and a peerless performance on Showtime’s “Queer as Folk.”
This is a Las Vegas show audiences can return to again and again, each time witnessing another premier performance by the best funny people around and getting the chance to experience fresh, young talent on the verge of greatness.
Supplementing the best of the best in excellent fashion are the talents of Mark Curry, Shayma Tash, Addrew Norelli and Jimmy Shubert, collaborating to ensure that the summer of 2012 will be the best one yet for the already successful comedy show.
