Las Vegas show Jubilee!: The heart of Vegas beats with vivid imagery, legendary talents, infectious spirit and of course, the graceful, statuesque bombshells that provide that very same heart with the majority of its flutters, skipped beats and butterflies. “Jubilee!” is a classic Las Vegas show that puts these iconic desert flowers into the spotlight and onto a stage of their very own. Half the length of a football field and accommodating some of the most elaborate and stunning sets on the entire Strip, the Jubille! Theater promises to provide the perfect backdrop for entertainment’s most talented showgirls.
The Las Vegas show’s original costume creators are Peter Menefee and Bob Mackie, the world renowned designer responsible for many of Cher’s magnificent outfits. Such a collaboration was bound to be a success, as shown quite clearly with the end result.
1,000 different costumes sparkling with 8,000 miles of sequins adorn nearly 100 showgirls who dance and sing in unison to introduce a Las Vegas show that features monumental events like the sinking of the Titanic and the destruction of the temple during the story of Sampson and Delilah.
“Jubilee!” has been an essential part of Las Vegas show history since 1981, when director Donn Arden imagined the original concept, based off of one of the Strip’s first topless shows. Today’s version features a diverse talent pool that enhances the core experience with acrobatics, high-flying aerial stunts, powerful drumming and more. At its conclusion, “Jubilee!” nails it with the perfect sendoff — a visually stunning tribute to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, complete with hats and tails, a giant staircase, and an endless procession of beautiful girls, vivid colors and genuine Vegas soul.
