One of the other hats I wear in addition to straight-up “entertainer” is “speaker.” I’ve been involved with the National Speakers Association for about 7 years now, starting back when I lived in Orlando and worked for Disney. When I moved to Vegas in 2010, I became even more involved with our chapter out here, serving on the Board of Directors for a few years both as Marketing Chair, and Membership Chair. The success of my show at The Linq, and the number of corporate events I do on the road, have caused me to take more of a backseat role with NSA-LV, but I still attend meetings when I can.
I also continue to speak every year to the Academy Program as their Marketing Instructor. The Academy is a fantastic, very intense, 7-month program which helps beginning speakers develop and become more established in the marketplace. Learn more about the Speakers’ Academy Program.
Jeff, your presentation at our Speakers Academy was brilliant and so well received by our group. You shared great information and we appreciate you so much. And you bring so much fun into the world!
– Anita Paul Johnston, Co-Chair of the Speakers Academy, National Speakers Association – Las Vegas Chapter
As a speaker, I provide “entertainment with a message.” I engage the audience with routines from my “Comedy in Action” show, but I’m able to weave in customized talking points and conference themes quite easily. Juggling is such a great metaphor to hang principles on. Throw in “balancing” and “team work” with the help of audience volunteers, and the options are endless! I have spoken to numerous youth groups (faith and nondenominational) – Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership, Future Farmers of America, IMPACT, etc. I’m excited to develop this area of my career even more in the next few years with the help of my corporate event entertainment / speaking booker guru Donna Buttice with See Agency. Email Donna for more info on my programs.
