Going “Over The Edge” for Special Olympics Nevada

Special Olympics Nevada asked me to go “over the edge” and of course I said YEA BABY!!  Find out more about this Over The Edge unique fundraising event below:

What is Over the Edge?
Special Olympics Nevada is taking fundraising to new heights! For our third annual Over the Edge, we’re bringing our vision for this event to fruition when participants rappel down the front of Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and dangle over one of the most famous streets in the nation!  Las Vegas Boulevard unfolds before participants in this thrilling and completely safe, once‐in‐a‐lifetime event.  Registration is limited and individuals who want to be “Edgers” are required to raise a minimum of $1,000.  “Edgers” are encouraged to collect donations from family, friends and co‐workers through our on‐line giving website at www.OverTheEdgeLasVegas.com.”

Businesses have pooled donations and some have done a corporate match to fund a “Toss Your Boss”
campaign as well.  Companies like Caesars Entertainment Group, Bravo Tickets, IGT and AA  have  all been
part of the “Corporate Challenge” too.  There’s an all day party by the Planet Hollywood pool where your
friends and family who were too scared to go Over the Edge can gather to witness your accomplishment and
cheer you down.  Can you say “bragging rights”?

Who Can Go Over the Edge?  
Never rappelled before?  No problem!  This event is designed for all levels of experience.   The ropes staff
consists of a team of experts providing all the technical expertise, training and equipment needed.  Did we
mention their perfect safety record?   The event is a must for thrill‐seekers, is something anyone can do and it
creates an incredible buzz.  Be a part of it; register now because only 80 people will earn the right to say they
rappelled Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino!  Anyone who has the guts and can raise a minimum of $1,000
can get in the game!  Participants must weigh between 110 and 300 pounds.  There is no age limit to
