Volunteering with Miracle League

Many of you reading my blog are familiar with my nonprofit I started a few years back, Win-Win Entertainment (probably because I am constantly talking / writing about it!).  Well this past Saturday was a great day for our organization.  We took another big step forward in our goal of creating opportunities for the Las Vegas entertainment community to give back.  We began work with Miracle League of Las Vegas.  Miracle League offers children with cognitive and / or physical challenges the opportunity to play baseball because, as their website says, “Every child deserves the chance to play baseball!”   Each athlete gets assigned a “buddy” who stays alongside them to help them play.  Learn more about Miracle League of Las Vegas.

The photos depict the magic of the afternoon – we shared so much love, joy and laughter with the players / families of Miracle League.  The word “amazing” gets thrown around a lot, but I can honestly say this was an amazing day… no quotes needed.  I was glad I was wearing sunglasses because I was teared up several times throughout the day because of some very special moments.   Huge thanks to he casts/crew of musicals Evil Dead (Planet Hollywood) and Menopause (Luxor), magician John Castro, Santana “Michael” Jackson, and our Win-Win board for coming out to play on Opening Day.

The Fall league games are played every Saturday through the end of November – please join us for what we can promise will be an inspirational experience!  Please email Executive Director Vivian to sign up!

Play ball and share the love!
